Happy Birthday Angel!
Most of you know that my family are dog lovers, well Tim and I are no exception. Since Angel's Birthday only comes around once every 4 years, indulge me people. 2 1/2 years ago, Tim and I decided that we wanted to adopt a dog. We decided to go and just "look" and see if we liked anything. I wanted a small dog like Tulip Shull, and Tim wanted a big dog (you can see who won that fight!) When we got there we told the lady that we just wanted to look around, but that we would prefer a pure bred if they had one. She said they only had 1, she was an American Bulldog who had been given to them by her previous owner because he was being shipped off to Iraq, and wanted to make sure she was well taken care of. You can imagine the look on my face when I saw how big she was! I took one look at her and fell in love. I was still a little apprehensive about her size, but I said o.k. when the lady asked if we wanted to just walk her around Petsmart and get to know her. Tim and I knew she had to be ours when she tooted right in front of us! So, we told the lady that we had made up our mind, and we wanted to keep her. You can imagine our shock when she asked where we lived, and if we had a yard. It never even crossed our minds. We told her that we would be getting married that following April, and that we were going to rent an apartment for a year or so. She told us that Angel did not belong in an apartment, and that she needed a yard. We were told that we couldn't have her. I literally cried the whole way back to my parents house. In that 30 minutes, I had fallen in love with her, and then told I couldn't have her. My dad being the man that he is, said we will get her back. So, my dad and I went back up there, and told the lady that we wanted her but that she would live with my parents. We weren't lying, she would live there, just till April! She let my dad sign the papers, we paid our small fee, and Angel was ours! Tim and I never regretted our decision to get her. We fell in love with her! She is our child, and is treated like one too! Happy Birthday my sweet girl, we love you.
By the way, she did just fine in our apartment, Thank you.

Happy Heart Day
Happy Valentines Day! I'm not one of those mushy girls who demands flowers and chocolates today, but I love that I get to spend time with the hubby, and if he happens to get me some roses and a card, then that is just an added bonus!!! Tonight my hubby took me to one of my favorite restaurants, The Keg. Their mashed potatoes could compete with my mammas. Tonight they gave out chocolate covered strawberries. Usually for Valentines Day, that is what the hubby gets me, but since we got them there, I got my fill! Since Tim and I were high school sweethearts, this is our 8th Valentines Day together, and every year, it keeps getting better! Also, as an added bonus, my Angel with her Valentines Day scarf.
Shay and Andrew are going to be parents!!!
Let me tell you a story about two girls named Shay and Kara. It all started in high school when I made the drill team. I was so excited to be a part of something like this, and one of the first people I got to know was Shay. She was always happy and made me smile when I was having a bad day. Then, when I started dating Tim, she was dating his best friend, and it was inevitable that we would wind up becoming friends. Little did I know that our friendship would carry us through high school, college, being bridesmaids for each other and now marriage and babies. Shay is the most dependable person I know and she lifts me up on my crappy days. She has always been there for me, and I cannot imagine my life without her. When she got married to Andrew, I had been praying for him since high school, and when she married him, I knew he was the right one for her. God is so amazing, and he allowed Tim and Andrew to become friends as well. They have the best time together, and it lets Shay and I get together and have our wonderful talks. We could talk for hours if the boys would let us. I have been wanting so bad for Shay to be a mom, and now our prayers are being answered. God is giving her the child she has always wanted. I am so ecstatic for them, and I know God will continue to grow with them and their child.

Angel's First Hotel Stay
As I mentioned in the previous post, we went to Abilene to see my aunt for her birthday. We decided to stay in a hotel, and this was Angel's first time to stay in one! She had some guidence, as my parents dog, Maddy, has had lots of experience in this area, so Angel just followed Maddy and did everything she did. They had the best time playing together and jumping from bed to bed.
