Friday Favorites

Wow, it's been a while since I set foot on this ol blog. To tell the truth, our lives have been pretty mundane lately. Not a lot happening in the Smith home. But, I do have a few pics to share. 

So, I'm linking up with Erika, Andrea and Narci for Friday Favorites with my favorite pics over the last few weeks. 

The dog next door...

Poor Angel is almost 12, so my kids have a dog but all she does is eat, sleep and poop. Not very much fun to play with. But, the dog next door is young, friendly and playful. Her owner lets her come out and play in the afternoons and my kids love her. They throw her the ball and have such fun with her!

Friday night out...

Last Friday, our church had a parents night out. You could drop the kids off and have a few hours to ourselves. I loved this idea! We met the Towery's at one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. My kids favorite part? They got to wear their pj's to church and watch a movie!

Dancing daddy...

On Saturday at Landry's game they had the dads come do a cheer with the girls. Landry was so excited to have Tim out there with her. And I must say, he did a good job! He won 2nd place!

Sleepy boy...

On Wednesdays I have bible study so Hayden gets a nap in the afternoon instead of after lunch. He starts getting sleepy right before we leave to get Landry from school. This is the norm on Wednesdays for us. 

Great ages...

Both my kids are at such great ages right now. Landry is pretty self sufficient and she's really helpful with Hayden. I don't know about you other moms but getting dinner ready can be the most hectic time of the day. So her keeping him busy helps me out tremendously. On this day she was a horse and he was riding on her back! 

Trash truck love...

Hayden is obsessed with trucks. All kinds of trucks. His favorite? The trash recycle truck that comes every Thursday. He waits for it and waves to them. It's so cute.

I Heart the Weekend

This weekend was such a great one. We crammed a lot into three days and I loved every minute of it. It was a great Valentine's Day weekend. 

On Friday, Hayden and I met my mom, Dani and Brody for lunch. Since I don't keep Brody anymore I don't get to see him as much and I miss him like crazy. It's only been a month but he has grown so much! We had such a nice lunch. It was beautiful outside on the patio and the kids were great.

After lunch my mom and Hayden headed back to our house while I headed to Landrys school for her valentines party.

Saturday morning we headed to Landry's game and this was her cheering section! 

Hayden has recently discovered pockets in his jeans and pants and stands like this all the time!

After her game she stayed and had a valentines party with her cheer squad. 

For dinner we headed to Joe T Garcias with my parents. We love that place so very much!

Saturday morning we put on our best valentines clothes and headed to church

We took the kids to our favorite burger joint for lunch and headed home for the rest of the day. 

Such a fun weekend with the ones I love the most!

A day in the life

I haven't done a day in the life post in a while and I love looking back at these and seeing how we filled our days. I had a busy day yesterday, so I thought it would be a great day to do it. 

I set my alarm for 6:30, but I always wake up earlier!

First things first, coffee!

Then I unload the dishwasher

Then I sit down and do my bible study

While I do my bible study I eat my breakfast. I found this new recipe for a protein breakfast square and I make a whole pan then microwave one each morning. It's yummy!

After that I wake this pretty girl up

Then while she stumbles down the stairs I make her lunch

Once she's ready for school

We wake this cutie up

They play while I get dressed for the gym

Then we head out and take Landry to school. We then head to the gym and wait until the childcare opens. This is usually when I blog or read all my favorite blogs!

On Tuesdays I take 2 classes! I'm usually crawling out of the gym on these days but then I walk in to get this cutie! He loves the gym!

After that we head home and I make my smoothie while Hayden eats his lunch. 

I made a yummy crock pot dinner yesterday so I put that in while he was eating

Hayden goes down for his nap around 11:30. He still naps most days until 2:30! I'm dreading the day he drops these long naps. He's just always been a sleeper. While he naps, I shower and get ready and eat my lunch

I've been making a protein bowl for lunch and it's so yummy! 

Once all that's done I'll either pick up the house, put clothes away or catch up on Netflix. I'm watching Blacklist right now and I love it! I then get Hayden up from his nap and get him dressed

After Hayden wakes up we head to school to get Landry. 

On this particular day we took Angel to the dermatologist. Yes you read that right. Angel is a bulldog so she has really sensitive skin and she has to go to the dermatologist every few months. 

After that we headed home and Landry got ready for cheer practice. Landry has practice every Tuesday night. Tim usually takes her for me but I took her on this night. 

We got home, ate our yummy dinner 

Landry then takes her bath while Tim gets some one on one time with Hayden 

After both kids go to bed, Tim and I sit down and watch some tv. Angel and I share the couch. She's so old she doesn't care if she's in your space or not :)

Pajamas on, makeup off and into bed I go. But not before I watch a little Fixer Upper!

Weekend Update

Another Monday is here. It has me longing for a little bit more weekend. We had such a good one. 

Hayden and I took cupcakes to Landry's class on her birthday and she was so excited showing off her brother!

For her birthday, Tims parents sent her a surprise. They sent her cookies and ice cream. She loved it!

That night we took her to her restaurant of choice. Her party is next month and I didn't want to not do something so we took her to Cheddars. She loves this place. 

Saturday morning we had Landry's game. She is absolutely loving cheering!

Hayden loves going to the games too. He especially loves eating daddy's snacks!

Saturday night Tim and I got a date night! Sushi was on the menu and it was yummy. Love date nights with this guy!

Sunday was Super Bowl. We decided to just stay home this year and chill. It was actually really nice. We made nachos and watched the game and all the commercials. I have to say, half time was the highlight for us. Landry and Hayden both were dancing the whole time. This boy sat by me the entire night. Love my snuggle time with him!

Such a great, fulfilling weekend. Time with my favorite people is always the best.
