My Birthday Weekend

This past weekend, I celebrated my 32nd Birthday!
I took Friday off of work and spent the day with my girl.
I took her to the local water park and she loved it.
We had never been before, so I wasn't sure what to
expect, but it was not very crowded and perfect for her age.
When she first saw this lily pad with a rope above it, she begged me to go on it.
I was a little apprehensive, because she was about 4 years younger
than the average child in line.
But, she did it like a champ.
She is so athletic and when she sets her mind to something, she does it.
Then, she wanted to do the water slides.
She did these a lot, and loved them.
I loved spending the day with her and cherish these special
moments we have together.
I have found myself getting weepy over seeing how big she is
getting, and with her becoming a big sister soon, I know
she will only get bigger!

Tim surprised me with one of my favorite gifts!
This pregnant girl cannot get enough fruit, so this was perfect for me.
He is so thoughtful and such a good husband.
Don't know what I would do without him.
I ate most of this in one setting!
Saturday was my actual Birthday!
I decided to spend some more time in the sun,
and headed over to my in-laws house to lay out and swim.
Saturday night, my family took me to one of my favorite
restaurants, Chuy's.
I love these people more than anything and I'm so blessed to
have such a great family!

Sunday night, we continued with the swimming theme
and went to our friends, the Towery's house to eat and swim.
We have some of the best friends, and Landry has really lucked out
with these little girls in her life.
Lizzie and Landry are attached at the hip when they are together.
Landry is my little daredevil!
She wanted to sit on Tim's shoulders and jump off the diving board.
At first I was hesitant, but she loved it!
Not sure if you can see her expression, but she thought this was so fun!
I had such a great Birthday spent with some of my favorite people!

27 Weeks

How far along? 27 Weeks- Third Trimester!

Size of the Bambino? The size of a Cauliflower
Maternity Clothes? Yes
Weight Gain? 22 pounds
Stretch Marks? Not yet
Gender? It’s a Boy!
Name? Yes! I’m 99% sure we have agreed on a name! I’ll reveal soon!
Sleep? I’m still getting up to go to the bathroom at least once a night, but I have been so tired lately, that sleep overtakes my bladder.
Cravings? It’s so weird this go around. With Landry, I craved pretty much anything. I just said to Tim a few days ago “I have not made you go get me anything this time”. I’m sure he’s probably glad about that. I’m starting to get to that point in pregnancy where you can just eat a little and get full. Of course I’m hungry a few hours later though!
What I Miss? I have been seeing such cute summer clothes on sale, and I want to buy some so bad. I keep talking myself out of them though, so I guess I miss my normal clothes.
Symptoms? Still having awful back pain.
Belly Button? In
Best Moment? Deciding on a name! This has by far been one of the most difficult subjects to come up this pregnancy. We just could never agree. I’ll write a whole post on this when I reveal, but just know that his name has great meaning to us!

Maternity Clothes? Yes
Weight Gain? 22 pounds
Stretch Marks? Not yet
Gender? It’s a Boy!
Name? Would you believe me if I told you no?  I still cannot believe we cannot settle on a name for this baby.  I know we have some time, but I want to start calling him by his name and getting stuff made for him.  I know my family and closest friends are chomping at the bit too!
Sleep? Still going to the bathroom twice a night.  I’m also, starting to move a lot to get comfortable.  I tried a pregnancy pillow, but I move way too much to use it.
Cravings? Still anything fruity like gushers and fruit roll ups.
What I Miss? Nothing really
Symptoms? Back pain and lower abdominal cramps.  Just a lot of stretching and moving going on.
Belly Button? In
Best Moment? Realizing this is the last week of my 2nd trimester!  I am excited about putting his room together and I’m going to register for a few key items I know we are in need of.

25 Weeks

How far along? 25 Weeks

Weight Gain? 20 pounds
Stretch Marks? Not yet
Gender? It’s a Boy!
Name? Every time I say “yes, we have a name”, Tim just looks at me. I know he doesn’t think we do, but I think I have settled on the perfect name for our boy. I prayed over his name this weekend and it just fits with our family. We shall see.
Sleep? I have now started going to the bathroom twice in the middle of the night. I’m carrying him so much higher than I did with Landry, but for some reason he is sitting so low right on my bladder.
Cravings? Gushers, fruit roll ups and popsicles, all of which were in my grocery cart yesterday!
What I Miss? Nothing really
Symptoms? I think I am taking a growth spurt this week. My body is really achy feeling especially in the lower stomach area.

Best Moment? Getting ready for our mini vacation! I’m looking forward to just relaxing and spending time with our family.

Little Fish

Last Friday, Landry completed her two week swim lessons.
At first when we started she wasn't quite sure about going back
there by herself and then quickly got the hang of it.
The thing about these swim lessons is that the parents don't watch,
so I had no clue if she was even learning anything.
Last Friday, they had all the parents come back and then each of the
kids shows off what they've learned.
I was amazed at Landry!
She did so good.
When I was her age, I practically lived in a pool
so I was so excited that she loves it too.

Friday night, we went over to Dani and Bobby's house since they couldn't come
to the class on Friday, and she swam all by herself, dove in and is loving the pool now.
The hard part is now getting her out of it!

Time with my girl

Last week and the week before that, Landry had swim lessons in the mornings.
I decided to take the mornings off from work and spend some time with my girl.
We had so much fun and got used to sleeping in in the mornings and doing whatever we wanted!
Here are just a few of the things we did together.

We swam

We played at the park

We went over to the Boozer's house and swam some more

We spent Father's Day with our favorite guy

The bump and I had to leave for Nashville for work
I watched Landry on her final day of swim lessons

We got to see one our favorite families, The Shulls

Shay and I have been friends for 20 years.  Trust me when I tell you,
she knows me, the real me!

Saturday morning, as a treat, I took Landry for her first pedicure!
As my mom says, her first of many!
She loved it.
She just sat there while they rubbed her feet and she picked a pretty purple out.
The final product!
I love this girl so much, and I'm looking forward to many more years of
mommy daughter time.

What I Miss? Nothing really

Every morning she wakes up and talks to my belly and every night before bed we say our prayers and the baby is first on her list. She is going to be the best big sister ever! I just love seeing her get excited.

Gender Reveal Party

Friday night, we had family and our closest friends over to celebrate this baby.  I had the cutest shirt made for Landry.  She was so proud to be the big sister that night!
The theme for the party was "What Will It Bee?".
I found some of the cutest ideas on my biggest waste of time Pinterest.
I had everyone who thought it was a girl wear pink
And everyone in the boys corner wear blue.
You can tell what pretty much the majority thought!
And... It's a boy!
We are so excited to have a boy!  As Tim and I went in the sonogram room that day, we got so excited wondering what this baby would be.  As soon as she asked us if we wanted to know the gender and we both said yes at the same time, he decided to show us exactly who he was!  It was hilarious.

We had a great time at our party and my girl loved hosting all her little friends!
