Hayden's Baby Dedication
Tuesday, January 14, 2014
Hayden is 3 Months Old!
On Saturday, Hayden turned 3 Months old.
I thought after I had Landry, my time flew by, but having
another child makes it feel like a roller coaster!
The number one question I get about Hayden is
“Is he a good baby?”
Without a doubt, my answer is always yes.
He is the best baby!
He’s so laidback and easy going.
If Landry is my mini me, then he is definitely Tim’s.
She was always crazy and loud, and he’s the complete opposite.
He tends to take a backseat to his sister, but he doesn’t care.
Unless… he needs to eat!
If he’s hungry, drop what you’re doing and make him a bottle stat.
Sleep: He is sleeping about 10 hours a night.
He goes to bed every night at 9, and wakes up promptly at 7.
With me going back to work last week, this is perfect.
As far as naps go, he still takes about three a day.
On the weekends for me, he takes a morning one, after lunch and one at dinner time.
At daycare, he has been adjusting.
He’s getting used to all the babies around him, so he isn’t sleeping well at all.
That makes for a very tired baby at night.
He can usually sleep anywhere.
I was holding him the other day at a birthday party,
and there were kids everywhere screaming and he
just fell asleep.
Play: He got an activity mat for Christmas from my aunt and uncle
and he loves it! At night when he gets home and I’m cooking dinner,
he lays on it and it keeps him entertained.
We also started putting him in the bumbo.
At first, he wasn’t crazy about it, but now he loves it.
The other night, we put him in it and put him in his spot at the
dinner table and it made me laugh all through dinner.
My Grammy and Granddaddy got him this activity cube for Christmas
and he loves it too!
Eat: This boy is an eater!
He is eating 6 bottles a day with 6 oz. of formula.
We eat every 3 hours and on that 3 hour mark,
he will let you know it is time to eat!
We had to change his formula this month to the sensitive
one, because he was spitting up after every feeding.
Poor thing, I felt bad.
I think he has a really sensitive stomach.
Changing the formula seemed to help though.
Oh my goodness, I love this little boy!
He makes me smile every time I look at him.
I just thank God for blessing our family with him.
He makes our little family complete!
Love you Hayden Timothy!

Dear Hayden
Dear Hayden-
Tomorrow we will finally get to meet you. I feel like I have waited on you my whole life. Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted a girl and a boy. I got my girl 4.5 years ago, and now God is completing our family with you. I can’t wait for you to meet your big sister, Landry. She has waited for you for months. She talks about you every day and talks to you all the time in my belly. I want you to know how much this little girl is waiting on you. You are going to be the cherry on top of our little family, and we can’t wait to see who you are going to look like, and who’s personality you will have, and if you will have big blue eyes like your big sister. We have prayed over you for these last nine months, and thank God for blessing us with you. We can’t wait to meet you little man!
I love you!

How far along? 39 Weeks
Size of the Bambino? The size of a small watermelon.
Maternity Clothes? Yep.
Weight Gain? 30 pounds
Stretch Marks? No
Gender? It’s a Boy!
Name? Hayden Timothy Smith
Sleep? Still getting up twice a night to potty, but I've been falling back asleep pretty easily.
Cravings? Cereal and pineapple
What I Miss? Wearing non maternity clothes
Symptoms? I have been having Braxton Hick’s contractions pretty consistent this week.
Belly Button? It popped! Does that mean I'm done?
Best Moment- Knowing this is my last week with Landry as my only child, I have been snuggling her and holding her and getting some good one on one time with her. I'm so glad I stopped working early for that reason alone!

38 weeks
How far along? 38 Weeks
Size of the Bambino? The size of a celery bunch
Maternity Clothes? Yep.
Weight Gain? 28 pounds. When I went for my checkup last week, I had lost 2 pounds!
Stretch Marks? Not yet
Gender? It’s a Boy!
Name? Yes! Hayden Timothy!
Sleep? Sleep has not come as easy this week for me. I have been tossing and turning and then I have to go to the bathroom and then I'm awake for a while. I remember this from Landry, and I think it's just preparing me for the sleepless nights ahead!
Cravings? Cereal. That's the only consistent thing I have craved this pregnancy.
What I Miss? Seeing my toes, putting my shoes on normally and regular clothes, pretty much the norm!
Symptoms? Besides the Braxton hicks, nothing really. He dropped this week, so I can actually breathe easier.
Belly Button? Still in, but it's pretty close to popping out!
Best Moment- I started my maternity leave this week, and I'm so excited to spend some time with Landry.

Dear Landry
Dear Landry-
As we come up on your last days as my only child, I am filled with overwhelming thoughts of it only being the three of us for just a short while longer. In just a few short days you will become a big sister. In some ways I still feel like you are still a baby. Then, you go and do something like write your whole name or get your first loose tooth or tell me how to spell pop. Then, I remember that you are not a baby, but are 4.5. You are definitely the light in my life. I look forward to waking you up every morning and picking you up from school every day. I love the long conversations we have and the fact that you talk as much and as loud as I do. I love that while we eat dinner, you tell us about your day and what it was filled with and what your daddy and I missed. Being our only child for 4.5 years has made you very independent. You love to go to your room and color or write the alphabet on your notepad. You love to play house and play with your babies and tell me that you are going camping or to the zoo. Hayden is going to be one lucky little brother. He will learn all sorts of things from you. I cannot wait to see you as a big sister. The days of just the three of us are coming to an end, but it’s ok-because God has given us such a great gift, and I can’t wait for you to meet him! The last 4.5 years have passed by so quickly, and I have loved them so much. You are my sunshine and you remind me that it’s the small things that matter the most in life.
I love you!

Sleep? I have actually been sleeping ok this week. I still get up a couple of times a night to potty, but I’ve been falling back asleep pretty fast. I think I’m just so tired that sleep is easier.
