There is just something about being at the beach that takes me back to being a kid. I'm not sure if it is the sounds or the smells, but I always think about the innocense of being young and running to the water and playing out all day in the sun. My perspective has changed now that I have my own daughter. It is like seeing the beach through her eyes is ten times better than through my own. She was a little hesitant at first, tiptoeing on the beach, and then slowly easing her way into the water. She eventually loved it, and didn't want to leave. We set out last Friday to Galveston with my grandparents, uncle, aunt, cousins and my family with 4 dogs. We were a packed house. Here is just a glimpse into the fun that was our vacation.
This was Landry's first time to fly, and she did so good
She loved playing in the airport and watching the planes take off
She probably did so well, because this is what she did from takeoff to landing!
Like father, like daughter!
This was our cute little house we stayed in all week
Landry loved looking out from the front porch
She also loved eating snacks with Stephanie
She is in such a loving mood stage right now and gives kisses all the time
Stephanie has always been like a little sister to us. We adore her!
Saturday night, we took Uncle Donny out for his 50th Birthday and had some good seafood!
Sunday was our first day at the beach
The one person Landry loved the most has 4 legs. She loves her some Lucky, but I'm not so sure Lucky reciprocates those feelings!
She also loved playing and spending time with Grammy and Grandaddy this week
Monday we went to the strip and did some shopping
Then we walked on the beach and took the dogs for a walk
Thursday we went on the Colonel with Grammy. It is this big paddle boat that takes you around the island
I had such a good time with my Stephanie and she was such a good help with Landry!
This was Landry as we were driving home. I think my little girl had a great time!
