Hi Fall, nice to finally see you

Well, this morning we woke up to 60 degree weather.  It made me so happy to put my girl in cute pants this morning.  It also made me happy to be drinking my new pumpkin coffee the husband surprised me with and not get hot drinking it!  I love this time of year and all that it brings.
This weekend we just relaxed and didn't do much of anything.  I love those lazy kind of weekends when you can just veg out on the couch and catch up with all your DVR'd shows.  Saturday night, we played dress up at Mimi and Pop's house

Sunday night, Dani and I took Landry out to Southlake to just walk around and shop.  We got to ride in Aunt Dani's new car for the first time!
We love going out there, and it was such a pretty day to do it.  For dinner we went and had the always yummy, Taco Diner.  I loved hanging out with my sister and realized that I don't do it often enough.  She is getting married in less than a year now and will soon have her own life, so I am going to try and spend as much time with her as I can!  Look out Dani, you might get tired of us!
Fall has definitely arrived at the Smith house.  I have my pumpkins out and my crock pot on!

A Summery of our Summer

With today being the last day of Summer, I thought it fitting to review all that we have done over the last three months.
We have watched daddy mow numerous times
We spent memorial day swimming and eating
We learned how to swim and showed our skills in the pool everywhere we went
We played in our baby pool
We went to the ocean
We got our third haircut
We ended our summer season with Labor Day

Now our favorite time of the year begins!

Our Weekend as told by Landry

Hey ya'll, it's Landry here.  My mommy let me write up my own blog post about all the fun we had this weekend.  On Friday night, we went to dinner with my Grandma and Grandpa at one of our favorite restaurants, Posado's.  Mommy always lets me get an ice cream cone after dinner and I love them!
Saturday, mommy and I got to see our best friends, Shay and Kensington at Kensington's 2nd Birthday party!

Kensington let me play in her play room and I got to explore with a lot of new toys.  I think mommy was writing a few of them down for Christmas gifts!
Saturday night, I helped cheer on Daddy's favorite team and they won!
On Sunday morning, I went to church and then went to lunch with Brady Boozer.  Mommy seems to think I have a little crush on him because I am always staring at him and trying to hold his hand!  This was how I looked on the way home from lunch
Sunday night, we did one of my favorite things, the grocery store.  I used to hate going, until my mommy discovered this car there and now I won't get out when we leave!
I hope you all had a great weekend as well!

Birthday Extravaganza

Thursday, my mom turned 50!  My mom is not one of those people that lets her birthday go by without us noticing it.  She wants to celebrate all month long.  Starting last weekend we celebrated with my dad's family and continued on to this weekend!

On Thursday, the 6 of us left for 4 days to San Antonio to celebrate moms Birthday.  We had such a good time and laughed the whole weekend.  I love spending time with my family.
Before we left, Bobby surprised Dani with a new car!  We were all in on the surprise and she was so excited!  She looks so cute next to it.
On Thursday, my dad had some work to do, so we went and explored around town.  First we went to the alamo.  They had some beautiful trees surrounding it and this really pretty fountain that we all made a wish in.
Thursday night, we took my mom to P.F.Changs and they gave her this little dessert
On Friday, we went and walked the Riverwalk.
My sister and her cute hubby to be on the one year mark until their wedding!
Me and my hubby!
On Friday night we took mom to one of our favorite restaurants, Benihana.  Oh my goodness, I love the atmosphere here.  Our chef was so good to us and they gave mom a birthday dessert here too!
On Saturday, we decided to do something we have not done before.  We went wine tasting.  My parents have been to Napa and they love doing this, but the kids have never been.  It was so fun.  The first one we went to was the best.  They were so good to us.
Here are the second and third ones we went to.  The wine wasn't as good, but I thought the buildings were so cute.
On Saturday night, we went back down to the Riverwalk and ate at our favorite mexican restaurant there, Casa Rio.  It was really good and we sat right on the water.
We had such a good time, but I really missed my girl.  She stayed with Tim's parents and was well taken care of, but I still missed her being with us.  Last night, Tim went to bible study and I took her on a mommy daughter date to Jason's Deli.  She loved her mac and cheese, and I love this little girl!

19 Months Old

Saturday, Landry turned 19 months old.  She has grown so much over this last month.  Here are some things she is doing this month:
*She is saying momma, dadda, dani, chicken, uh-oh, where he go?, what's that?, eyes, doggie, angel, bye, and hi.  She tries to repeat words you say now, so we have to be really careful of what we say!
*She can point to her ears, eyes, nose, hair, mouth, tongue, hand, arm, toes, belly and belly button if you ask her.  She will also point to yours!
*She is wearing size 5 diapers, a size 7 shoe, size 2T-3T clothes and is 32 pounds!
*She loves dogs and when one is around she will run to it and try to hug them and give them sugars
She is definately turning into a toddler!  She knows what she wants and will let you know it.  She hates the word no, and when you tell her no, she will shake her head no and laugh.  This has definitely been one of the hardest stages to go through.
At the end of the day though, when all is said and done and she gives you a hug and sugars before bed, it is all worth it!
Love you Landry Kate

Friends are Friends Forever

And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say never
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long
to live as friends.
I am so excited for the new path they are going down, and I know their families are just as excited to have them closer.  It really is bittersweet.
Thank you guys for everything you have meant to us.   We love you Thomas family!
