Things you've missed

Oh my goodness, we have been crazy busy the last week.  Here is a rundown of the things that have been going on:
1. We got to babysit Maddy last weekend while my parents went out of town.
2. We cheered our Texas Rangers into the World Series
3. We went to Grammy and Grandaddy's House
4. We helped Mommy at the grocery store
 5. We hung out with Brady and Charley Boozer
 6. We had a Mommy Daughter lunch date
7. I got to go to Nashville to work the ramp
So, that's about all you've missed.  We have been going, going, going lately.  More to come!

My girl loves a good playground

Landry had the opportunity to play on 2 different playgrounds this past weekend.  On Thursday, we went and watched Tim play softball and they have a little park there.  I love that she is big enough to climb and slide on her own.  She loved it.
On Sunday, we decided to walk her and Angel to our neighborhood park.  She ran and slid for a good 30 minutes and took a good nap afterwards!

I rode a roller coaster at the fair

I have a lot of memories from my childhood.  Whenever my family gets together and we play the "do you remember when" game, I can always finish the story.  One of my favorite childhood memories involves the fair.  My grandparents had taken the whole family, and my Grandaddy being the person that he is, bought a ton of tickets.  If you have ever been to the State Fair of Texas, you know once you buy the tickets, you cannot sale them back.  They are yours and you either "use em, or lose em".  There we were at the end of the day with probably 40 tickets left over and we had to use them.  If you could of seen my sisters and I's eyes when he told us to get as much food as we wanted, we were in Heaven!  To this day, we still talk about walking out of the fair sick to our stomachs from all that food.
I love going to the fair.  It is a tradition every year.  I'm hoping Landry will someday love it as much as I do.  When you walk in, you have to take the "stand in front of Big Tex" picture.
Here we are from 2008
2009
2010
The one thing everyone knows about the fair is that you throw away your diet for a day.  Boy, did we!
Just look at all this healthy food the fair provides!
My girl got to have her first Fletchers corny dog and she loved it.
We stopped by the Little Hands on the Farm this year.  Landry loved it.  They put on their aprons, gathered some corn and fed the "chickens".  We went in thinking this was going to be real animals, but it was just some stuffed ones that made the noise.  Kind of creepy, but they loved it.  At the end, they give you a dollar for selling all your feed at the market and you can buy something in the store.  Landry loved handing her dollar over and buying some fruit snacks.
We had a blast this year.  It was way crowded, and HOT, but it was fun.  So fun, that this was Landry as we were walking out.
See ya next year, Big Tex!

Pizza Night

Thursday nights have a new meaning for us.  Tim has taken up playing softball again and that leaves Landry and I to fend for ourselves and have a girls night in.  Tonight, we decided to have Pizza Night!
We only come dressed in our best for pizza night!
I love spending time with her, just her and I.  Since I'm not home with her during the day, it is really nice to have some time to spend with her.
On another note, look what Daddy surprised us with today:
I can't wait for her to want to watch these Disney movies.  They are my favorites.

Also, today would of been my Maw-Maw's 80th Birthday.  Sometimes I miss her so much.  I hate that she never got to meet Landry, I know she would of just eaten her up!

20 Months

Today, my little girl turns 20 months.  I love this age.  She is really starting to talk more and develop her own personality.  Her new thing to do this month is to repeat whatever we say and to yell it.  That might include the word crap that a particular mom said the other day driving when she suddenly remembered she had to tell Landry's father something, I'm not naming names though!  When we put her to bed at night, she will sit in her room and yell "momma, dadda" hoping one of us will come in there.  It is cute and heartbreaking all at the same time.  She eventually gives up, but my girl puts up a good fight.  We have taken the yelling in public as was displayed last week when Dani and I went shopping and I was in the dressing room and from the front of the store I could here "MOMMA".  Luckily Dani had enough good sense to stroll her on out of there!  This morning I was yelling for Angel to come upstairs and get in her crate and she kept yelling doggy after I would yell angel.

She is also starting to really play pretend.  We will go in her play room and she has a box of dress up clothes and she will put a hat on Tim and I and then she gets to wear the skirt and then she twirls around.  It is really cute.  She loves dolls, and will probably be seeing one from Santa this year.

We love you Landry Kate!  Happy 20 months!
