Christmas 2015

Happy New Year's Eve! I cannot believe 2015 is coming to a close. We have had our best year yet. I'll recap our year tomorrow. Today is dedicated to all things Christmas.

Since Tim and I celebrate with both sides of our families still we have a combined SIX Christmases! It's a lot over a few days but we love it! Seeing all of our family over a short span is fun and I wouldn't change it for anything.

This year on the Sunday before Christmas we celebrated with Tim's moms family. Landry and Hayden got some really nice things. Tim's aunts and uncles are really good to my kids.

So this is Clare. She was the flower girl in mine and Tim's wedding! She's now 14 and so grown up. We love getting to see her every Christmas.

On Christmas Eve Eve we celebrate with my dad's family. We started this tradition a long time ago.

I just love my Grammy! She still loves being silly and loves her great grand babies.

This was my rocking horse at Hayden's age!

This was Brody's first Christmas!

Hayden wanted to help Brody open everything!

I just love these women and my little B!

On Christmas Eve morning we wake up and head over to Tim's parents house to do Christmas with them. We love just eating breakfast and chilling in our pj's!

Growing up every year my whole family would get dressed up and go to church for the candlelight service. I looked forward to it every year. We would sing carols and turn off all the lights in the church and just hold candles. I loved it. When I married Tim his moms family did Christmas on Christmas Eve but this year we changed it so we were once again free on this night. I wanted Landry to experience it too. She loved it! Lots of memories at this church. I grew up here and got married here!

We got home and put on our pj's and waited for Santa!

Look, he came!

This year was so much fun with these kids. They are so into Christmas and all that it brings. I just love them!

Hayden's big gift was this basketball goal. He loves it!

Landry got a new doll!

My parents took Landry shopping to buy us gifts. She did so well! She got Tim a new flashlight, Hayden a truck and me some bracelets.

It was a great morning!

On Christmas afternoon we headed over to Dani and Bobby's house to celebrate with my parents and them and Brody.

My parents got them each a new chair this year!

When Dani and I were young my dad started daddy daughter gifts just from him each year. He has carried that tradition on with Landry and this year he got her a kindle! She loved it!

My sister and Bobby got Hayden a gas tank for his big truck and Landry matching pajamas for her and her new doll!

We all put our pj's on and had a sleepover! I love these people so much!

The next morning we got up and headed to Clyde to see my moms family.

I just love my nephew!

We had such a great Christmas! Spent with the people I love the most. Seeing Christmas through my kiddos eyes is the best!

Our family date night

It's Christmas week! This week makes me so happy. With all the hustle and bustle that comes along with the holidays I wanted to take some time with just the four of us and do something fun.

Our local radio station kept advertising Gift of Lights at the speedway close to our house. You pay a fee that donates to the Toys for Tots foundation and drive through the speedway and look at 2 million lights! It was such a great idea. Both kids loved it! Hayden just kept saying lights over and over.

At the end is Santas village where Santa is and a train and hot chocolate. I was a little nervous about seeing Santa. Remember last year?
On another note, look at my babies!

But Hayden did great. He just kept staring at him while we were waiting in line. Landry kept "prepping" him.

I'm good with the outcome!

We promised Hayden if he sat on Santas lap he could ride the train after. They both loved it!

Then as we were walking out we caught this guy

Hayden had had enough of posing with people but he was good with statues!

After we left we went and ate some yummy Mexican food to warm our bellies. I love family time. It's so good this time of year to just stop and be with the people who keep me going!

Also, today is this guys birthday.
My life is better because he's in it. I couldn't imagine doing it without him. He's such a great father and husband. Love you Timothy Micheal!

Friday Favorites

It's Friday once again! I couldn't be looking forward to this weekend more if I tried. My parents and Tim and I are headed out of town for our annual shopping trip to Round Rock. It'll be two days of shopping, shopping, shopping!

I'm once again linking up with Andrea, Erika and Narci with my favorite pictures of the week.

Oh my bags are packed...
So Saturday Tim and I had a few errands to run for Santa so Landry went to Tim's parents house and Hayden was going to stay with my parents at Dani's house. Dani and Bobby went to Vegas so they were keeping Brody there. Hayden was going to stay the night with them. Now, I've talked about my sons obsession with Brody before and he was even more excited to spend the night at his house! His first sleepover! I packed his bag and he carried it everywhere before we left.

Tacky..kind of...
Sunday was my 7th grade girls Christmas party and we said we were going to wear tacky Christmas sweaters and this is as tacky as I get! I love this sweater. It's super soft and I love Santas big face on it.

Starting them off right...
Hayden and Brody already love to watch TV. I try not to have them watch it too much but sometimes I have to get things accomplished! So the other day I turned on Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer movie. It's one of my childhood memories watching it. I sent this pic to my family and my mom said "good girl, starting them out right".

A new tradition...
I instagrammed this picture the other night saying pizza and the Grinch, I think we are starting a new tradition. It was a casual Sunday night sitting at the coffee table eating pizza and watching a classic

A rare day...
So Wednesday afternoon was beautiful here. Hayden and I went outside after his nap and he jumped on the trampoline for a while. It was so nice outside!

A caroling we go...
Landrys American Heritage Girls troop went Wednesday night to a retirement home to sing. It was so sweet. The older people loved them singing to them!

Have a wonderful weekend!
