Banana Rama

Our girl is the length of a banana.

Some exciting stuff happened this week! I have been feeling her kick for a while now, but the other night, I wanted to feel her with my hands, so I kept my hand permanently placed on my belly and lo and behold I felt her kick/move. She tends to be most active when I am watching TV at night (a girl after my own heart!) I kept trying to get Tim to feel, but every time he came upstairs, she stopped!

I finally have narrowed down my decision on nursery colors, so I am going to start buying all my bedding. We also are going to venture out and start looking at stuff we want to register for. I think I am going to go with Babies R Us, Target and Lone Star Baby. I already have a few things picked out from looking online, but I want to see them all in person.

Fall in Love

Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year. I look forward to the first day all summer. I used to hate it because it meant that school was starting, but as I have gotten older, I have come to appreciate it. There are 4 reasons I look forward to fall.

1.

I love the weather change. I love how it is cool during the days, but not cold and not normal Texas 100 degrees.

2.

Candles. I love the scent of fall candles. I love walking into my house and smelling the scent of vanilla or pumpkin pie.

3.

The State Fair. My absolute favorite thing to do in the fall is go to the state fair and eat a corny dog and funnel cake. This year my husband can't look at me in amazement as I eat so much, I'm eating for 2 this year!

4.

Holidays. I love the fall/winter holidays. I look forward to Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas every year. I love spending time with my family and going to the malls to shop.

I hope you have a wonderful Fall season this year. Many Blessings!

It's A...

Tim and I are

We found out Thursday that we will be welcoming a girl in February, and we are so excited.

Here is the shirt I had made

We went to dinner Saturday night with our families to tell them. I got my mom and Debbie a bib to let them know.

We went to one of our favorite restaurants, Joe T. Garcia's to celebrate.

Ohh, We're Halfway There!

Today marks the Twenty week point. We also find out today if we are having a girl or a boy. Tim and I are so excited. We are not telling our parents till Saturday, so I will wait to post until then. It is so amazing to me that we are halfway through this thing, but it also scares me because these weeks went by so quickly. I cannot imagine how fast it will go once he/she gets here.

Kensington Kate Shull

Shay had her baby! I was totally surprised when I heard it was a girl. I just knew she was having a boy. She is the cutest little girl. Shay and Andrew looked so happy! I can't wait till she has a little playmate! We find out this week if Kensington will have a boyfriend or a best friend! I love you Shay!

Mango Tango

Almost halfway there! I am feeling great this week. Thursday we find out if this lil peanut is a boy or girl. I can't help but feel anticipation. I am finding it harder and harder to get a good nights sleep. I toss and turn all night. Poor Tim and Angel, I think every time I move, they get woken up! I think God is just preparing me for the sleepless nights that await me. Tim and I finally came to an agreement and purchased the crib and changing table this week. I am glad to have this done. I have my bedding picked out, I just need to know which one to buy!

We had a first this week. On Wednesday, I was sitting at my desk at work, and I noticed a little popping feeling in my stomach. I was feeling the baby kick for the first time! I had been feeling something like this for a week or so, but didn't know what it was. Wednesday, it was kicking up a storm. I love this feeling! It reassures me my baby is doing good and that is a good feeling.

Here I am with the Mango

Here is Angel with the Mango

As you can see, Angel is starting to get tired of doing these every week!

Weekend Happenings

This weekend was another busy one. Tim and I both worked long hours this week, so we barely got to see each other. By Friday we were in desperate need of a Date Night. So, where do a young married couple without kids go on their Date Night? Red, Hot and Blue! That's right folks, we splurged. We are becoming that couple who have coupons and like to use them before they expire. My grammy would be so proud.

Then Saturday, we lounged around all day in our P.J's, then decided it was time to do something productive. Tim choose golf! Tim loves his golf, and who am I to stand in the way of a man and his hobby? I had a reunion at my church to attend. I grew up in a Methodist church where the youth group was very tight knit. We all knew everything about each other. Our church is celebrating 100 years this month, so they had a youth reunion. If you were ever in the youth group or helped with the youth group, you could attend. My sister, dad and I were all in the youth group at one time or another and my mom helped with many events. We had a blast seeing all the old gang. I got to see Katy and lots of others I graduated with.

Sunday we went to Sunday school at our church, then went to the church service at my old church. I really got to see a lot of old familiar faces there. My grandparents still attend the church, so we got to spend some time with them as well. Sunday night Tim and I started our new bible studies. Tim is with the junior and senior guys, and I am with the junior and senior girls. I love these grades. These girls are going to be so much fun to work with. Hope you guys had a great weekend as well.

American Idol Concert

My mom, Dani and I got a chance to go to the American Idol concert. This is the second one we have been to and this one did not dissapoint. My favorite moments were Michael Johns singing Queen, Jason Cook singing the Somewhere Over the Rainbow song and David Cook singing anything!

Here is the fabulous David Cook

Ring my bell

This week the baby is the size of a bell pepper. I love this stage in my pregnancy because people can actually tell that I'm pregnant instead of thinking I've been puttin too much food away! We find out in two weeks if this is a boy or a girl, and I cannot wait. Some of my cravings right now are a chick-fil-a sandwich with extra pickles and a honey packet, chips and salsa (cannot stuff enough into my mouth) and bananas. Bananas, where did that come into play, I have no idea. I have never really liked them before, but I eat one a day and I love them!

Me and the Bell

Of course, Angel and the Bell!

What a Wii-kend

So, this post is really late, but here are our adventures from Labor Day Weekend.

Friday night we stayed in, had manwhiches and watched What Happens in Vegas. We really liked the movie. I love Cameron Diaz, she is slowly beating Reese as my favorite actress.

Saturday we decided to go look for baby furniture. We found a set we really like at Babies R Us. There are a few more spots we want to look at before we decide, so I'll keep you updated. Then, Saturday night we had our "last official dinner" with the Shulls as a foursome. Shay is due in like a week and a half! We can't believe that the next time we go out with them we will be asking for a highchair! The Shulls are super important to us and we can't wait for them to take this next step in their lives. Then the boys played the Wii- no surprise there!

This is the one and only belly shot with the 2 of us!

Sunday we went to church. We had such a unique experience at church. Tim and I sat up front with the students this week and noticed that behind us was a huge group of guys. They took up about 3 rows. When Brother Ken got up to do his sermon he told us that they were the football players from a christian church in New Orleans. As you know, we were in the middle of a hurricane then, so we all gathered around them and prayed for their families back home. It was definitely a mascara moment. So touching to see all these football players knelt down in prayer. Sunday night we went to an engagement party for a family friend. Then Tim, Angel and I spent the night at my parents.

Monday we woke up to my dad cooking a yummy breakfast. Then we laid out all day and soaked up the last days of summer. It was bittersweet for me. Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year, but knowing summer is leaving is sad to me for some reason. I am definitely a flip flop kind of girl and would wear them year round if I could.

We had such a great weekend, and hope you did as well.
