I've been tagged by Shay

So, I am supposed to write 7 things you may not know about me, so here goes...

1. I have OCD tendencies. Every morning before I leave, I check to make sure there is nothing plugged in and that all the doors are closed like 10 times. I also have this weird thing where if I do one thing with one of my hands, I have to do the same thing with the other.

2. I won't walk on cracks in the sidewalk. When Tim and I take Angel for walks, I will always make an effort to step over the crack. I think this stems from that childhood rhyme "Step on a crack, break your mothers back", I got your back mom!

3. I absolutely cannot sleep in pants, even in the winter. If I start out in pants, they usually end up on the floor. I also cannot sleep in socks, it makes me feel closed in for some reason.

4. I love baths. When I take a bath, it will be for sometimes up to an hour. My mom still does this, and I got it from her. Tim knows to not talk or disrupt me during bath time.

5. I cannot cut meat. I grew up with my mom or dad doing it, and never really learned how. Tim has taken that job over now, and just knows that if I order meat at a restaurant, he will have to lean over and cut it. If he doesn't, he might get an elbow in the eye.

6. My absolute favorite snack in the world is cheddar goldfish. I am obsessed with them, and have been for years. There is always a Sam's size box in our house. I don't know why, but sometimes they give me giddyness. I even sing the song to Angel when we are sharing them. "I love fishes, cause their so delicious, gone goldfishin".

7. I absolutely cannot be touching anything or anyone while I am sleeping. I am not a cuddler. Tim and Angel know to stay away from me at night. Even if I'm in a deep sleep and Tim's hand will land on me, I will wake up and move away from it. I am the lightest sleeper, so this happens quite frequently. Also, I have to sleep with earplugs. Any little thing will wake me up.

I tag Hil and Katy.

2 Years!

I am so late on this posting! April 8th was mine and Tim's 2nd Wedding Anniversary. Tim and I have a long history which I will not bore you with. Those of you that know us best know our past! We have been together since high school. Our first date was in 1998! Golly, that seems so long ago. Tim is my best friend and my rock. We have had some great and wonderful times together these last 10 years. April 8th, 2006was the happiest day of my life. I love you, Timothy Michael!

We're not in Kansas anymore Toto...

Last week Tim and I got our first tornado at our house. At 3:30, Tim woke me up to pounding rain and high winds. We had lost power, and so we called Tim's mom to keep us informed. Then we heard sirens, and took Angel and a candle into the laundry room. We must of looked so funny all bundled up together in there. Here is the outcome of the tornado.

Livin on a Prayer

Being a child of the 80's, Bon Jovi was a staple for me. My dad had every tape (yes, I said tape) and we would listen to them all the time. My sister and I would jam out to them. Monday night, I had the opportunity to go to their concert. It was really good. They put on an awesome show. Chris Daughtry was the opener, and he was great as well.

Weekend in Clyde

Tim and I got the chance to go spend the weekend with my aunt, uncle and 2 cousins. They live in a town of about 3000, called Clyde. It's the sweetest little town you have ever seen. We had a great time seeing them and getting to love on my cousins that I never get to see. Chase and Brett are very special to me. I was older when they were born, so I was their first babysitter. We went to the zoo Saturday, it may not be the Fort Worth Zoo (which is my favorite), but it was fun. Thank you Clyde and Clower family for showing us a good time.

Old School, New School Game

I am so sorry to not have posted in a while, my life has been a little crazy to say the least in the last couple of weeks. Our church does this game with the youth as the new school, and the staff/youth workers as the old school. Tim, Ryan and Hilary played and I did what I do best, sat and took pictures! They had a great time playing, and won by 1 point! They will hold that 1 point over the youth's head until the next game.

"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." 2 Corinthians 4:17

I just want to touch up on this for a bit. I know many people did not know that I was even pregnant. I was a bit taken back that we had gotten pregnant so fast, but God does everything for a reason, right? I just keep telling myself that. Saturday the 5th, I started getting the signs that I was having a miscarriage. We went to the emergency room and they said that everything looked good, so they sent me home. That night, I continued with the miscarriage, and discovered Tuesday that I had in fact lost the baby. I was alomost 10 weeks along. It's so dissapointing to know that there is nothing that you can do to prevent this, but it's also reassuring knowing that there is nothing you did to make it happen. God is good, and he does everything with a purpose and a hope, and Tim and I are slowly learning that. We may not know why this happened, but in time I am hopeful that we will. Thank you Shay for sharing this verse in the title with me. I have it written down and posted at my desk. To those that read this, thank you for your continuing friendship and love for Tim and I.
