Just some random pictures

This week has been abnormally slow for us. We are usually on the go nonstop, but we have been home most nights this week. Here are just some random pictures I have taken.
On Saturday, we went over to Grammy and Granddaddy's house to play and she wanted her afternoon snack, so we rummaged through Grammy's cabinets and found some goodies. Grammy found my old sippy cup and she used that to drink with. This high chair is older than my dad. He and my uncle used it, then my two cousins and Dani and I used it, and now 3 generations later, it is still being used!

Monday night it was so cold out that Tim made us a fire, and we had sloppy joes. This was Landry's first sloppy joe, and she loved it!

Here we are getting our bath after the sloppy joe! She loves to brush her teeth in the bathtub, and is getting really good at it.

Her first Blackberry! I'm so proud. Tim found his old phone and charged it for her and now we have fooled her into thinking it is a real phone. She knows her fake ones are fake because they don't light up like mommy's does, but this one lights up and even dials numbers! She has barely put it down since we gave it to her. I hope I'm not making a bad decision by giving her a phone at one! Robbie said last night that she is going to walk into kindergarten texting me lo let me know she is fine! Haha!

My girl and I. You will notice that she looks like Rocky with her red eye. She woke up with it the other morning. It actually looks better than it did. Not sure what it is, but it doesn't seem to bother her.

Her new favorite thing to do is help Tim take the laundry out of the dryer, such a good little helper!

We are so ready for the weekend! Hope you have a great one too.

Landry's First Haircut

So, Landry had her first haircut! It had gotten so long in the back, it was beginning to look like a mullet! We went to the only person I would trust with my girls hair, Amy! She has been waiting for this day since she was born! Landry did really good and just sat in my lap and watched Amy in the mirror the whole time. I had not planned on getting her hair cut so early, but it was just a trim and it looks so much better.
Here is the before shot

Here she is getting it done

Here is the final product

Thank you Amy, we love you!

Also, while we are on the topic of hair, this little girl refuses to wear a bow in her hair anymore. She was practically born with a bow on her head, but lately anytime I put one in, she refuses to wear it, and will yank right up and pull it out.

Valentines Day

Happy Valentines Day! We had such a good day today. Saturday, Tim and I went to Texas Land and Cattle for a nice dinner and he got me my favorite- Chocolate Covered Strawberries!

Sunday, we hung out with Mimi and Pop. Here she is getting some whipped cream from Pop!

Here are her gifts from her grandparents and Aunt Stephanie. My parents got her a Barney DVD and her Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Stephie each got her a teddy bear. Tim's grandmother got her this cute little purse with a heart cut out of it. She loves purses and will hold them on her arm like mommy does.

She also got a rose from Austin!

Sunday night, we went to dinner at BJ's with Mimi, Pop, Aunt Dani and Uncle B. Pop bought his girls a huge, warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top, you can see who got the majority of it!

She loves her Aunt Dani!

Happy Valentines Day from the Smith's.

Snow Day

Since Friday was still snowy around here, I decided to take a snow day. I loved having the whole day to spend with my girl. Here is just a little of what we did.
We woke up to this

and then we had breakfast and played on the floor with our toys

Then we got bundled up and went and played in the snow

Then we had grilled cheeses for lunch

Then we made a big pot of chili for dinner

Then daddy came home and put together our new toys!

I just love snow days!

Meet Ernest

Since Thursday looked like this around our area...

We decided to build a snowman! We waited for daddy to get home, cause daddy's are good at building snowmen, right? Well, our daddy had no clue how to build one, I mean I married a true Texas boy! So, we had Robbie build us one! He knows just the right moves into making a good snowman. We had such a good time rolling him up, while my husband had a good time at throwing snowballs at me! Here are the boys perfecting Ernest (I named him that because of the cowboy hat, he just looked like an Ernest).

Here are Austin, Landry and Melissa playing in the snow

Here is our family with our new family member, Ernest!
