Where has May gone?

This being the last week of May, I decided to post some of the highlights of our month.

We played with sidewalk chalk with Brady Boozer for the first time.  She wasn't quite sure what to do with it, but loved to scribble on the concrete anyways!
This is the best time of the year to sit on a patio and eat mexican food, am I right?  My girl loves it too!

We celebrated Mothers day with Grammy on Saturday and Landry as usual was the center of attention!
She was attached to my aunt and uncles dog Lucky, the whole night.
She was chasing Pop!
Two of my favorite girls
Eating Cherios and watching cartoons
That about wraps up our pictures from May.  We have a busy week ahead.  Hopefully I will get some good pictures of all we have coming up!

Our New Afternoon Ritual

Everyday when I come home, I find Tim, Landry and Angel in the backyard.  This is no surprise to me, because Landry would live outside if we would let her.  She throws a FIT everytime we have to come in.  Since it has been so nice out lately, Tim has been grilling a lot more, and that means that Landry can stay outside longer.  The minute we walk in the door, she runs to the back door and pounds on it to go outside.  I took some pictures of her and Angel playing outside yesterday.

15 Month Appointment

On Friday, I took Landry in for her 15 month appointment.  It is getting a little easier to take her to the doctor now that she can play in the waiting area with all the toys.
Unfortunately, we had to wait in the actual room for almost an hour!  She did so good though.  She just played with the table and we read books and she ate her snack.
She weighs 30 lbs (97th percentile)
She is 32 inches long (97th percentile) and
Her head is 18 inches (75th percentile)

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mother's day to all you mothers and future mothers.  I have to say, I had a pretty good weekend with my girl.  Saturday, we spent the day with Debbie.  We took her to Home Depot, and let her pick out some flowers and then helped her plant them.  She picked out some pretty flowers.  My Grammy will be so proud of these pictures.  I do not by any means have a green thumb, but I think I did a pretty good job of planting.  It was really fun and I did have some help from Tim's dad, Mike.
Here we are working hard!
Our good hard work paid off, and they look really good!
My cute hubby supervised!
Here is the apple of my eye!
Here is Debbie with her 2 kids
Mother's day morning Tim got up and bought me some flowers
Sunday night, we took my mom to one of our favorite restaurants, Joe T. Garcia's.  We got her a really pretty necklace from James Avery that has a butterfly on it.  Butterflys are really special to my mom and she loved the necklace!

Some things I have learned from being a mom

I have learned how to fall in love at first site
I have learned humility

I have learned that you can function on 3 hours of sleep and a good cup of coffee

I have learned that you can love your husband more as you see him become a daddy

I have learned that you can make mistakes and your baby will love you regardless

I have learned that you will call your mom multiple times a week and ask her advice

I have learned that a deodorant stick and comb can occupy a toddler for a good 20 minutes while you shower and put make up on

I have learned that you will leave the house and come back at least once because you forgot the sippy cup or snacks every.single.day

I have learned to be humble

I have learned that when your child hurts, you hurt worse

I have learned that in a pinch, the contents of your purse can make for great entertainment

I have learned to just smile and go along with the ride

Most of all, I have learned that you can't know how much you will love someone until you are a mother yourself.

Thank you Landry for teaching mommy how to be a mommy!

What did Landry do now Wednesday!

Saturday night we went out to the mall with my parents, and we didn't bring Landry's stroller.  My dad said to just let her down and walk while we were in this store and he would go rent one of those mall strollers.    So, we let her down in Dilliards and what did she do?  She ran!  Then , she tripped and bit her lip and started screaming in the middle of Dilliards!  Poor baby had blood running down her mouth, so mom and I took her to the bathroom to clean her off and she was fine in 2.5 minutes.  They heal so fast!  She got her milkshake and that made it all better.  We have a new nickname for her-Rocky!

15 Months Old

Today our girl turns 15 months old. This month has definitely been one of the toughest so far. She is turning into a little fireball! Here are some things she is doing this month.
*She is wearing size 24 month clothes. We can still squeeze her into 18 month tops, but the bottoms must be 24 months!
*She is in a size 5W shoe! Girl has some Fred Flintstone feet!
*She got her 2nd haircut this month. We have also noticed that she is slowly turning into a blondie! I had white blonde hair growing up, so it will be nice to maybe have another blondie in the family!
*We are in full blown toddler mode this month. I have realized that gone are the days when she could just sit in my lap and be content. The only time she will is at night when we are rocking and reading our books.
*We still are not saying many words. She has learned how to say Angel, but still no momma on a consistent basis. Da-da and Angel top our list of words. I see where I rank!

Love you Landry Kate!

Thanks, Melissa!

Last night at prayer night, Kyndall got a hold of Melissa's camera and just started snapping away.  After we are done praying we just sit around and talk and let the kids play.  Here are just a few of the pictures she took.  Melissa sent me a few edited ones.
This is Landry's new funny face
She loves her Austin!  Austin was like "get off me lady!"
I was laying on the floor talking, and she just sat on me and kept giving me hugs!
I love this one!  I brought her this onesie back from Vegas.
