What a Wii-kend

So, this post is really late, but here are our adventures from Labor Day Weekend.

Friday night we stayed in, had manwhiches and watched What Happens in Vegas. We really liked the movie. I love Cameron Diaz, she is slowly beating Reese as my favorite actress.

Saturday we decided to go look for baby furniture. We found a set we really like at Babies R Us. There are a few more spots we want to look at before we decide, so I'll keep you updated. Then, Saturday night we had our "last official dinner" with the Shulls as a foursome. Shay is due in like a week and a half! We can't believe that the next time we go out with them we will be asking for a highchair! The Shulls are super important to us and we can't wait for them to take this next step in their lives. Then the boys played the Wii- no surprise there!

This is the one and only belly shot with the 2 of us!

Sunday we went to church. We had such a unique experience at church. Tim and I sat up front with the students this week and noticed that behind us was a huge group of guys. They took up about 3 rows. When Brother Ken got up to do his sermon he told us that they were the football players from a christian church in New Orleans. As you know, we were in the middle of a hurricane then, so we all gathered around them and prayed for their families back home. It was definitely a mascara moment. So touching to see all these football players knelt down in prayer. Sunday night we went to an engagement party for a family friend. Then Tim, Angel and I spent the night at my parents.

Monday we woke up to my dad cooking a yummy breakfast. Then we laid out all day and soaked up the last days of summer. It was bittersweet for me. Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year, but knowing summer is leaving is sad to me for some reason. I am definitely a flip flop kind of girl and would wear them year round if I could.

We had such a great weekend, and hope you did as well.

Weekend O' Fun

This weekend we were super busy.

Friday night we took Angel out to my parents and had dinner with them at Patrizio. One of my favorites. Then we walked around the shopping center and mom and I did some baby clothes browsing. I've decided I do not want to buy anything till we find out the sex, so I had to resist. I cannot wait to find out if I will be buying

or

Saturday we had a busy day. We went to the reception of Nick and Megan Cornwell. Tim and Nick have known each other since the 2nd grade. Him and his new bride Megan, got married in Maine, so they had a reception here for those of us who could not attend. It was so good seeing Nick, and I adore his new wife. Saturday evening we had a wedding. One of the guys Tim works with, B.J. got married to his wonderful bride, Brit. Their wedding was so nice and the wedding cake was yummo! Shay, you would of been grubbin with me!

Sunday we had church, then a great lunch at another favorite restaurant, Alfredo's. We ate with my whole family and had a great time. Then mom, Dani and I went to look at a crib. I've just started trying to figure out what I want to do with the nursery, and it is a little overwhelming.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

When Life Hands you a Lemon

The baby is the size of a lemon this week. I have really started to notice my belly protruding a bit. I have ventured into the world of maternity clothes a little more, and let me tell you, they are super comfy. I think in honor of my lemon, I am going to have a Chick-fil-A lemonade this week- Yummo!!!

Here is Angel with her lemon!

Florida Florida Florida

We're baaaaack!!! We had such a great time and I have so much to share. My parents rented a 15 passenger van, and my sister, her boyfriend, Bobby, my parents and I, plus our two dogs drove to Cape San Blas. Tim flew out Wednesday to spend a few days with us. The ride there was so much fun. My sister and I had a blast reminiscing with my mom. Here are a few pictures from Angel and Maddy in the van.

We decided since the dogs would be in the ocean a lot, we would have them wear life jackets. They did great in them.

On Wednesday my mom and dad decided they wanted to go snorkling. I am afraid of the ocean, so I opted out, but I went with them to take pictures and ended up having a great time. My uncle, Aunt and Jacob and Stephanie decided to go as well.

The main reason we went on this trip was to celebrate my grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary. We took them to Captain Anderson's seafood restaurant. Back in 1972 they went there as a family for the first time, so we thought it would be neat to take them there again. Congrats Grammy and Grandaddy, here's to 50 more!!!

We were lucky enough to stay in a house right on the beach. My mom and I would come out early in the morning and sit on the balcony. That is my favorite time of the day at the ocean is the mornings.

As I said, we traveled with my dad's side of the family and we got to spend some great time with them. They brought their dog Lucky, and my girl had a little crush!

As our gift to Grammy and Grandaddy we decided we would take family pictures on the beach. We hired someone to do them, so when I get the disc I will be sure to share.
Here are just some random pictures I took of the week.

Here is my girl in the middle of the week.

That about wraps it up, like I said, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this beach to anyone!

The nausea seems to have subsided, and my appetite has come back! I think Tim is more excited about that than I am! We leave for vacation on Saturday, so be looking for lots of pictures in the future! Florida, here we come.

The Peanut is Growing

This week we went back to the doctor for my check up and another sonogram. We discovered that I am further along then we originally thought. I am due February 5Th. We had also discovered that Peanut had grown since the last time we had seen him/her. It is so amazing to hear your child's heartbeat beating inside of you. Words cannot describe it.

Big News!

Yes, it's that news! Tim and I will be welcoming baby Smith on February 13th. We are so excited. I want to thank all of you who have been praying for us. This year has been such a rollar coaster for Tim and I. It's funny how God shines through during your pain. He has shown Tim and I much patience thus far. Here are a few pictures we have taken so far.

This is the pregnancy test:
