My Baby's Room

I've decided to jump on the bandwagon and join Shay in the "Show Us Where You Live Tour"! So, for this week, we are going to have the dweller of this room show you around.

Hello, my name is Landry Kate, and this is where I live!

Here is where I sleep every night. My mom wanted to do a simple theme in my room and I love the brightness of this pink. That is also my lamb that mom must remember to take out when I go in, or else that lamb would be covered in drool!

Here is my name above my crib. I will hopefully be able to use these in my big girl room as well.

Here is my toy box. My mom found this cute basket and put some ribbon on it and voila, a toy box! The doll in front of it was my moms from when she was a little girl.

This is my chair where I sit each month to take my monthly pics. The lamb in it was given to me by my Mimi and pop.

This is where my mom rocks me every night. We say our prayers in this chair and we sing songs in this chair, and I get my nightly bottle in this chair. This is my moms favorite time of the day with me.

This is my changing table that I am now trying to squirm off each night. It is getting harder for my mom to keep me on here. The baskets hold my diapers, my medicine, my socks and my shoes.

These are the pictures of my mom and dad when I was in moms belly taken by my mom's friend Hilary. The sign was made for me. My mom loved that saying and my Mimi had it ordered for me.

This is my bookshelf. My mom loves this piece because everyone in my life gave me something to put on it. My great grandma gave me the frame, my mom's best friend Shay gave me the sign with my name on it, my Pop gave me the dragon and the book to go with it, my Mimi gave me the piggy bank, my aunt Stephie gave me the monkey and my grandma gave me the Precious Moments doll.

My Aunt Dani made this for me. She loves me soooo much!

And, because no girls room would be complete without the closet-tada! All my clothes. My mom loves dressing me up.

That about wraps it up. Thanks for coming in and seeing my room.

Landry's Dedication Weekend

We had a great weekend! I'm going to highlight some of the fun things we did.

Friday- I had the day off, so Landry and I hung out with my parents all day. My mom and I really wanted to see this movie:
It was FANTASTIC!!! I highly recommend you go and see it. If you have kids, take them. My mom and I cried twice. It is one of the most endearing movies I have seen in a while. Then, Friday night, Tim came out and met us for dinner where he proceeded to ruin his outfit (Yes, I know boys don't wear outfits, but for lack of better words, we will say outfit). As we were just starting to eat our food, a man and his son were throwing the football by our table (we were at an establishment where there is a sand volleyball court and you can play ball), and the man proceeded to not catch the football and my grandfathers glass of wine spilled all over Tim's shirt, shorts and new tennis shoes! A red glass of wine, no doubt! Luckily it was my even keel husband who never lets anything get to him, because if it had been me, the man's head would of been chewed off and we would of left right then and there. Not all is lost though, my dad cleaned it with his magical potion of Oxyclean and it came right out.

Saturday- We got our hair done and then went strawberry pickin with Melissa, Austin and 3 of the girls from our youth group. I was late so I didn't get to pick anything, but will definitely be going back this summer. You just grab a cute basket and start pickin! It looked like so much fun, but with a 4 month old in a stroller, it was kind of hard. Next time, I will drag Tim or just not take her. But we did get some cute pics of Landry and Austin sportin their sunglasses!

Sunday- We had Landry dedicated to the Lord at our church! She did such a good job up on stage. I was worried a little during the prayer, she started to get a little antsy, but turned out to just be gas! Wouldn't you know it. We headed back to our house afterwards and had a little celebration with our close friends and family. All of Landry's best buds were there! My dad and Tim"s dad grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. They were delicious. Here are some pics from the dedication.

Happy Memorial Day!

This weekend was a whirlwind and we are still trying to catch up on rest! We went to my parents house Sunday after church to spend the day and night with them. Landry got in the pool for the first time. My parents got her a little float that looks like a boat, and she loved it! We had a great time!

Our New Favorite Activity

The new popular thing in the Smith house is the Exersaucer. We tried it out for the first time the other night, and she loved it! She loves standing on our laps, so I knew she would like it. She sits in it every night while mommy cooks dinner.

She fell asleep in it the other day!

Splish, Splash I was Takin a Bath!

Bath time has become one of our favorite parts of the day. She can be in the crankiest of moods, and then you set her in the water and she almost immediately mellows out. I think it is soothing for her. She smiles almost the entire bath. A girl after my own heart! Here are some pics I took the other night.

Play Ball

Last night we went to Landry's first Rangers Game! We went with the Thomas's and it was Austins first game as well. The kids did really good. They were asleep for about half and awake the other half. Landry is such a people watcher, so this game did not disappoint her. The Rangers pulled out a win and it was a great game. We got a little worried when they hit the home runs because of the fire works, but the kids were not fazed at all. They just slept right through them.

Let's go, we're ready!

Austin loves to people watch too!

Happy First Mothers Day to Me!

Today was a special day for me. I celebrated my first mothers day. I am so thankful to be a mom and celebrating today made me appreciate all God has given me. Since Tim and I would be celebrating with our moms today, he did my mothers day last night. He cooked me a really good dinner and got me the cutest card from Landry. I am so lucky to have a husband who knows how important being a mother is to me and only wants to make me happy.

This was the card Landry got me. It is so sweet, I will keep it forever.

3 Months Old

Today Landry turns 3 months. I know I say it every month, but having a baby makes the time fly! She is really starting to get a personality. Here are the 5 things we have discovered about her this month:

1. She giggled for the first time the other day. I went to pick her up from Jenn's house and when I got down on the floor to kiss her, she gave me a loud giggle! It just warms my heart.

2. She is finally starting to look somewhat like me. From day one, all I have heard is how much she favors Tim, but now people are starting to tell me that she favors me. Not that I mind her looking like her daddy, but it's nice to know I had a hand in making her! I did carry her for 9 months after all!

3. She is finally starting to sleep through the night more often. We can go about 6 good hours. 6 is better than 2 though!

4. She loves bath time. In fact, I'm working on a post of her bath times. She loves sitting in the water and getting the wash rag on her with soap.

5. She is so observant. She can sit and stare at something for a while. She is really starting to focus on you talking and watching people walk by.

Happy Birthday Aunt Stephie!

Landry wants to wish her Aunt Stephie a Happy Birthday! I love you and I can't wait to play with you again! Thank you for taking such good care of me on Tuesday.
