Back in May my sweet husband saw that Garth Brooks was going to be in Houston at the end of June. He knew how much I loved him and thought it would be a fun birthday trip for me.
I grew up on Garth. His songs were always on in our car and I used to wait in line for his cd's (good lord that makes me sound old!) So, Tim surprised me with a weekend in Houston to see him. I was so excited! I have the best husband. He always does things for me that he knows I've mentioned or talked about. He's really good about picking up on hints from me. 
We drove down Friday afternoon and bright and early Saturday morning we got up and went to the aquarium. I have seen this aquarium many times when driving by but have never been. It was really cool. I thought it was funny that we went to the aquarium without Landry and Hayden but we had the best time together!

So, the main reason we went was to obviously see Garth! Before the concert we went to a nice steak dinner in the hotel then it was off to the concert!
He was awesome! I'll say it again and again. This was the best concert I have been to. He is so full of energy and doesn't stop for two hours! Tim and I both sang along to all the songs and we were exhausted by the end. It was great.
I thank God every day for this man of mine. He always puts my wants and needs first. I couldn't love him more for taking me away for a little getaway and seeing Garth was the cherry on top!
